Weeded and Rotavated

Writer's picture: wllmsutherlandwllmsutherland

The results of today's work in the garden. After lifting the parsnips yesterday it was time to fork out weeds and rotavate. It took 2 hours to clear a heavy burden of weeds this time because the parsnips had such a slow germination. 2 wheelbarrows of assorted weeds were taken to the compost heap and then all rotavasted and raked over in just 20 minutes. All ready for winter now - and spreading fresh compost after Christmas! Next winter jobs are pruning soft fruits and trees and fixing new stainless wires to the walls for training the growing espaliers.
